Localizzazione territoriale e geografica

The town council of Genga, Bandiera Arancione since 2001, is situated between mount Piano, mount Gallo and mount Castellaro, at the centre of a very interesting geological area. Genga is one of the four municipalities belonging to the regional park Gola della Rossa and Frasassi.

La storia

A small medieval castle sorrounded by nature, Genga represented the origin of the noble dynasty of the Conti della Genga, among which we can remember very famous characters and warriors. It is a thermal centre, a nature reserve and a very interesting spelean-Karst area with the well known Frasassi caves.
