The "Colli Esini" Rural Area of Quality is an innovative territorial marketing project covering the Vallesina (Esino River Hills) area. The project is part of the Local Development Plan promoted by the "Colli Esini - S. Vicino" L.A.G. (Local Action Group) and spreading from the central area surrounding Jesi westward to the foothills of the Apennines, north to the Misa river valley and south to the Musone river valley.
The promo-commercialisation campaign is part of the Local Development Plan submitted by the "Colli Esini - S. Vicino" L.A.G. and approved by the Marches Region Authority within the EU initiative Leader+. Ancona Province (Lead partner), Macerata Province, Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Handcraft and Agriculture of Macerata, Matelica City Council, "Esino Frasassi" Mountain Community, "San Vicino" Mountain Community and ASSIVIP – Interprovince Association of Prestigious Wine Producers - take part in the project as Partner Members.
Potential members of the "Colli Esini" Rural Area of Quality are all private and public bodies residing in one of the 24 member towns listed below:
"For all public bodies – and Ancona Province is working particularly hard by boosting a wider involvement of city councils – the main goal to achieve is to contribute actively in the project through a better promotion of the territory. Private bodies, on the other hand, are pushed to make both the products and the services they offer to the customers reach the quality standards requested by the project" – says Carla Virili, in charge with Agricultural matters within Ancona Province.
